Maria Knee “Comes Over to My House!”

mknee.jpg

A big shoutout and thank you to Maria Knee who came and helped out all day in the computer lab with the Kindergarten classes yesterday! She brought a copy of “Come Over to My House” —the book I talk about in this TechLearning blog post— and a bottle of home made Maple Syrup!mknee2.jpg

We had a great time and are planning to bring our Kindergarten classes together via Skype and collaborate on a project that includes “Come Over to My House.” Digital communication is great, but nothing beats “F2F”. So great to see you, Maria!

How exciting to have Maria come for a visit! I have never heard of this book before, but am going to Amazon to look for it. My class has blog buddies in New Zealand and I would love to get a copy for them and one for my Kindergarten class as well. Thanks for sharing the book title. I am anxious to see how the Kindergarten classes use technology at your school.

Thank you for having me over to your house. It was the highlight of my vacation week. I can’t wait to make plans to connect the kindergarten classes in Wells with my class in Deerfield. It was great to see Cheryl too. F2F is great but connecting online just opens up so many possibilities. I’m glad we have both worlds.

Durff – Call a cab and come over to my house to make your own maple syrup! We’ll be making it for a couple more weeks – I hope.

Have a great week, everyone
