Thanks for recording and posting all these rich podcasts. I wanted to pull over on my drive this morning so I could see the wiki. What a wealth of quality thinking. Thanks!

Bob, is there a general feed for comments on your blog? I just noticed that I am subscribed to this blog in Goggle Reader and ITunes, which is okay since they serve different purposes (one for reading and one for listening), but realized I am not subscribed to the comments.

I very much enjoyed listening to all of these form BLC and Seedlings, and realized today that you probably don’t realize how often you drive my car! I listen to your podcast and others while traveling to and form work daily. Very rich and meaty content that REALLY feeds my mind.

I am in the process of creating a CD (ahem try CDs) for our new superintendent here in Horry County (South Carolina), and I want to know if it is okay to design a cover for the booklet that will have the CDs based on the website here. I would like to use the pictures of the speakers and the Bit by Bit logo. (I am making a gift basket for her formal welcome, and in the baskets will be some books, like Here Comes Everybody, Brain Rules, and a small notebook of the BLC Cds. )

Once again thank you SO MUCH for sharing content with us. I very much appreciate it and have to say its the next best thing to being there live in person (or even in the Ustreams/chatrooms!)

Cathy,

Thank you so much for your kind comments, and sure, go ahead and use what you want. I’m honored!

Jeez, I always assumed that my blog had comment feed, but now I realize that I’ve probably obliterated it with all the customizing I’ve done with this theme (yikes!). I’ll work on trying to get it back in.

Again, thank you!

Bob

Bob: I was able to listen to all of Joyce’s presentation this week on Monday and Tuesday during my commutes into work. What a great presentation. I think this really brings home the point that teachers need to be connected to learning communities where ideas can be shared on an ongoing basis. As you pointed out in the intro there is so much here, you could spend an entire semester with the links.

I particularly appreciated all the project ideas, and the attention Joyce gave to fair use and “transformational” uses of media in determining fair use. Dr Renee Hobbs was here in Oklahoma from Temple Univ and the group that Joyce referenced which has been working on revisions to fair use guidelines, and I arranged for that keynote to be recorded since I couldn’t attend and do it myself. I hope to that recording soon and share it as a podcast… These fair use issues ARE very important and I’m looking forward to these November clarifications which may open more doors for educators and students doing remixes with content and feeling more secure about the “fair use” sharing of those media products online.

Thanks so much for the time and effort to share these BLC presentations. You provide invaluable opportunities for me (and many others I know) to learn asynchronously and at a distance who were not able to attend BLC in person.
